Burley Dale Vickers

Burley Dale Vickers, Collinsville, OK was born August 18, 1935, to Joseph Raymond Vickers and Viola Barnes Vickers at Dodge Ok.  He passed from this life on November 21, 2022, at the age of 87years, 3 months and 3 days.

He leaves his wife Linda Brazeal Vickers, son Scot Vickers, daughters Kimberly Lewis and husband Steve, Vanessa Gargan/Reynolds and husband Robert, and Amber Ketchum, and two foreign exchange students Larisa Naumenko & Alina Doica. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Joseph R. Vickers jr., and sister Shirley Metcalf/Phillips.

Burley had a 37-year career at Sun Oil Co.  beginning in 1955 when it was Mid Continent Petroleum.   His work as an engineer of refinery inspection took him to refineries around the States and other countries, which put into him a love of travel.   After taking early retirement he and Linda toured as many as 18 countries, in addition to several mission trips through their church. They spent 25 winters in the Rio Grande Valley as "Winter Texans". He will be greatly missed by his 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild along with many other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Discovery Church in Collinsville at 2:00pm, December 1, 2022.
