Billie Sue Williams of Collinsville passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022, at the age of 84. Billie was born on July 12, 1938, to James Patrick O’Brien and the former Betty Lee Sturdivant in Dawson, OK. She was a graduate of Will Rogers High School, Class of 1957. She married James “Jim” Williams on September 3, 1959 and remained married for 63 years. Together they raised four children.
Billie was quite the woman. She liked the usual things such as gardening and bird watching, but that wasn’t the only side to her. The family’s description of her would be a person that liked to raise hell. She enjoyed watching WWE Smackdown and going to the casino. If there is such a thing as a QVC Super Member or black card holder, Billie would be one. She had a great love for her family and leaves them with some great memories. They and her beloved dog BB will miss her dearly.
Billie is survived by her husband Jim Williams of the home; 4 children, LaDonna and Ray Cope, James Stanley Williams, Jr., Tami and Robert Duncan and Staci Williams; 2 sisters, Doris Hammons, and Rebecca “Becky” O’Brien; 9 grandchildren, Brandi, Kalyn, Aaron, Kristina, Brandon, Jonathan, Jessica, Jeremy, and Daris; numerous great grandchildren; her dearly loved niece and nephew Debbie and Bob Cottingim; and a host of extended family and friends. Billie was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Donna, Wanda, Cecil, Jimbo, Larry, and Donald.
A Memorial Service for Billie will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel.
Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, (918) 371-2111, collinsvillefh.com.
