Billie Joann Jones

Billie Joann Jones, 80, of Collinsville, passed away Friday, August 27, 2010 in Tulsa. Billie was born July 13, 1930 in Dawson, OK to George W. and Byrl (Westmoreland) Simms. She was married to William Vernon Jones in Columbus, KS on September 17, 1946. Billie spent her life taking care of the home and raising their children. That love continued with the births of her grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy, and she was theirs.

Billie is survived by her husband Vernon Jones of the home; two children, Paula Myskey and husband Gary and David W. Jones, wife Johnna, and children Cody and Megan, all of Collinsville; her siblings, Almeda Stewart of Langley, OK and George Manuel Simms of Collinsville; numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends. Billie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Reba Martin.

No visitation is scheduled.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Collinsville with Dr. Tim Prock officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville.
