Betty Jane Willhite

Betty Jane Willhite (Nee Miller) went home to be with Jesus and her beloved Dale on September 25th, 2021 in Tulsa, OK. She was 84.

Betty was born on March 8 ^th , 1937 in Nowata, OK to her parents, Alexander Jay Miller and Iva A. Templeton Miller. She graduated from Oologah High School in 1955 and married John Dale Willhite in March of 1955. The Willhite’s built their life in Oologah, OK raising their family and being devoted members of the community until their deaths. Betty and Dale were active members of Talala First Baptist Church and avid sports fans till the end. Go Mustangs!

Betty had a heart for children she made a living as a daycare provider for over 20+ years and continued to serve in children’s ministries at the Church as well as working as an aide at Oologah Lower Elementary.

Betty is survived by her 3 children, Debbie and her husband Gene Wood of Catoosa, OK, John and his wife Gayla Willhite of Oologah, OK and Karen and her husband Brett Smith of Benton, AR; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale Willhite; her parents; 4 sisters; 4 brothers; and one granddaughter Abbi.

Visitation will be Sunday October 3 ^rd at 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. A memorial will take place on October 4 ^th at 10:00am at Talala First Baptist Church. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Betty’s life. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Oologah, OK.
