Betty Jean Porter

Betty Jean Porter, 73, of Collinsville, OK passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 in Tulsa, OK. She was born July 31, 1938 in Wellston, OK to William Franklin and Olive Gertrude (Woodside) Gallaher. She later married Billy Porter on June 2, 1956. They would have been married 56 years this Saturday. They moved from Guthrie, OK to Collinsville, OK in 1967. She was a school Cook at Central High School and then at Wilson Grade School. She then started her own upholstery business, which she operated from 1984 to 2001.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Porter of the home. 1 daughter: Pam Porter of Collinsville and 2 sons: Billy Porter, Jr. and his wife Pamela C. of Collinsville and Jeremy Justin Porter and his wife Nikki of Collinsville. 1 granddaughter: Brandice Rodriguez and her husband Francisco of Zacatecus, MX. 3 Great-grandchildren, Daniel Rodriguez, Sarenity Rodriguez and her joy, Bridget Rebyl Porter. 2 brothers: Ray Dean Gallaher and his wife Barbara of Luther, OK and Walter Fred Gallaher of Owasso. 2 sisters: Jewell Spence of Wellston, OK and Louise Ketron of Buffalo, OK. She also thought of her in-laws as her siblings, they are: Eddie and Mary Lou Porter of Bakersfield, CA and Barbara Porter of Carney, OK. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and her best friend of 43 years, Margaret Roy of Bowling Green, KY. She loved her animals over the years and is also survived by her dogs, "Punkin", Joe and Daisy and her granddogs, Skeeter, Rio, Talah and Gigi.

Visitation will be:
2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012
9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012
9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be:
2:00 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Vera Full Gospel Church with Rev. Jim Rowe officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville.

Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
