Betty Joann Murphy

Betty JoAnn Murphy, 78, formerly of Collinsville, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011 in Mounds, OK. She was born in Collinsville, OK to Ray and Murna (Ridgel) Holmes on January 29, 1933. She grew up in Collinsville and graduated from Collinsville High School. She moved to Sapulpa in 1961. She worked for Prescor for over 30 years as an accountant, retiring in 2005. She moved to Mounds, OK in 2008 to live with her daughter.

She is survived by 2 Children: Pat Murphy and his wife Elizabeth of Mannford, OK and Kathy Robison and her husband Dale of Mounds, OK, 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 sister, Joyce Cash of Owasso, OK.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 Daughter: Marilyn Murphy and 2 brothers: Edward Holmes and Jerry Holmes.

Visitation will be noon to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Collinsville Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Tim Odom officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, OK. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
