Bertha Bernice Wofford

Bertha Bernice Wofford, 91, of Claremore, OK, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009 in Claremore. She was born August 22, 1917 in Russellville, AR to Denver Cherry and the former Lena Gregory. She had lived in this area for the last forty years. She loved to square dance and enjoyed fishing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Talala, OK. She would always take care of ill family members, having them move in with until they were well. She was a loving grandmother and will be missed.

She is survived by her daughter: Doris Starr and her husband Doug of Claremore, OK. 1 Brother: Bill Cherry, 1 sister: Mary Welch, 5 Grandchildren, 11 Great-grandchildren and 2 Great-great-children.
She is preceded in death by 3 husbands, Oadis Wofford, Ernest R. Stocks and George Manus.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at the Talala Christian Church with Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Talala, OK.
