Barbara Ann Oxford

Barbara Ann Oxford, age 84 of Collinsville, Oklahoma, was born February 8 ^th , 1937, in Claremore, Oklahoma.  She was preceded in death by her parents O. M. and Lois Wright Woodson of Claremore, Oklahoma; her husband, Robert James Oxford of Collinsville, Oklahoma; and her sister Shelia Woodson Fikes of Brownwood, Texas.

She is survived by her brother L. M. Woodson and wife Janice of Claremore, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her nieces, Kimberly Kelso of Midland, Texas; Stephanie Lynn Smith of Del Rio, Texas; and nephews James Fikes of Spring, Texas; Duke Woodson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and Resh Woodson of Jenks, Oklahoma.  In addition, Barbara is survived by numerous first and second cousins.

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 25th, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at  Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, Oklahoma, with Dr. Tim Prock officiating.  Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, 1302 W. Main St., in Collinsville, Oklahoma.

She was a loving wife to Robert James (“Bob”) Oxford for fifty years.  She was devoted to her brother and sister, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, as well as her numerous cousins.  She was happiest when she was entertaining and cooking for her family.  She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Collinsville.  Barbara wished to let everyone know that she prayed for them daily and desired that her burial be a joyful celebration.  She was a wonderfully honest, compassionate human being, and she will be remembered forever by those who were privileged to know her.
