Austin Leroy Snively

Austin LeRoy Snively passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in Talala. He was 76. Austin was born in Waynesboro, PA to John Norman Snively and the former Clara Mae Koons. He served his country in the United States Air Force. After the military, he began his career working for American Airlines until his retirement. Austin was strong in his faith and was a member of Oologah Assembly of God. He loved nature and animals, and enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening and traveling. He could often be found working in his workshop, cooking a meal, or outside grilling.

Austin is survived by his wife Judy Snively of Talala; his daughter Suzanne Gowin and her husband Michael of Lincoln, IL; and his son David Snively of Savannah, GA; stepdaughters, Rachel Boeckman and husband Tim and Gretchen Spraker, all of Tulsa; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Austin will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2018 at Oologah Assembly of God with Pastor Kent Jensen officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Talala.
