Aubrey Edward Pollock

December 25, 1933 — April 7, 2022

Aubrey Edward Pollock of Collinsville passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at the age of 88.  Aubrey was born on December 25, 1933, in Tulsa, OK to Charlie and Truda (Robertson) Pollock.  He was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma, only leaving when he served his country in the Army.  He married Carol Hayes in July of 1954 and together they started their family.  Aubrey made his career as an electrician with American Airlines. He and Carol resided at Airmen Acres outside of Collinsville where he earned the title of “Mayor of Airmen Acres.” He was known to help neighbors with anything they needed, he was a regular jack of all trades.  Living there allowed Aubrey and Carol to enjoy flying in his plane whenever they wanted. Every morning, Aubrey would meet with all the guys in the neighborhood for morning coffee at “Mema’s Lounge,” a place he built for that specific purpose. He also had a love for old cars. He could usually be found tinkering on one or the other.

Aubrey is survived by his wife, Carol Pollock of the home; his daughter Robin Chailer and Howard Shepherd; his sister Odessa Mizer; his granddaughter Channing Chisum and husband Cayle; and 2 granddogs; and a host of family and friends.  Aubrey was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Howard, and his sister Corkie.

The family will hold a memorial service at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the main hanger at Airman Acres.
