His great grandchildren are Nickolas Koonce, Kason Davis and JosLynn Davis. Anyone who knew Wayne knew that he was the most loving rock a family could ask for. He taught them how to catch frogs and spent many hours folding paper airplanes. His surviving siblings include Joe Carroll and his wife Linda and Jimmy Carroll and his wife Shannon. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Sandra Grammer, and brother Charles Carroll. Wayne spent many years doing upholstery and woodwork. He was a great handyman. The last thirteen years before retirement he was a long-distance truck driver. He was also passionate about fishing, hunting, cooking (and eating!), gardening, raising chickens and rabbits. Wayne graduated in the class of 1960 from Broken Bow Senior High School. He also attended Aviation Mechanic Trade School while serving in the US Navy. Wayne held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those in whom he came in contact. He was a member of Collinsville Nazarene Church, in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Now that he has passed into the arms the Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Wayne’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for him.
