Anna Elizabeth Plumer

Anna Elizabeth Plumer, 91, passed away November 15, 2014.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday November 18, 2014 at Dolton Funeral Home in Collinsville. The service will be at Journey Church on Wednesday November 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.

Anna is survived by; three grandchildren she raised as her own Robin Pischel and husband Jim, Robert Plumer and wife Pam, and Rebecca Briggs and husband Melvin.

Daughter, Elizabeth Campbell and Elizabeth's children Annette Mayes, Mitch Campbell and Andy Campbell. Ten great grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren. Brother Donald Hannon, sister Dorothy Keel and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland & Ellen Hannon, her loving husband Fred Plumer, an infant son, and son Walter Ray Plumer, siblings Ernest Hannon, Reta Laughlin, Emma Harris, and 4 Great great-granddaughters.

Anna lived in Rogers County most of her life, growing up in Talala helping on the family farm before moving to Wichita, KS to work at McDonald Douglas during the war. She married Fred Plumer November 3, 1945 they made their home in Talala where they raised a family on their farm. She owned her own insurance business, working from home so she could dedicate herself to her family. When Fred retired from McDonald Douglass she sold her insurance business to retire with him. They fished for many years with friends and cousins in the gulf and Lake Hugo.

Anna was also one of the founding members of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church in Oologah. She played many rolls in the church and served as secretary and treasurer most of the years she attended.
She was known for her delicious Cherry Delight, it has been eaten by many, from family reunions to FFA auction and many other events.
