Andrew Allison Beeker

Andrew Allison Beeker, 61, of Collinsville, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010. Andrew was born July 21, 1948 in Brownsville, TX to Murray Allison and Patricia June (Clark) Beeker. He joined the Navy where he became a Navy Seal and part of the Underwater Demolition Team. He also served 4 tours in Vietnam. Andrew was extremely proud of the chance to assist on two of the Apollo Mission recovery teams. His team helped recover the Apollo 10 command module “Charlie Brown” in the South Pacific and Apollo 14 command module “Kitty Hawk” in the Pacific. After his military service, Andrew worked as a Commercial Painter until his retirement in 2002. Andrew married Margie Foshee on May 15, 1999 in Eureka Springs, AR. They moved to Collinsville from Tulsa in July of 2006. Andrew was an avid gardner, enjoyed designing stained glass, and woodworking. Andrew was a wonderful man, and will be missed by many.

Andrew is survived by his wife Margie Beeker of the home; his sister Susan Ruff and husband Tom of Orange, CA; his niece and nephew, Victoria Schmitz and Paul Ruff; his great nephews, Craig and Ryon Schmitz; his loving in-laws, family and friends. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for Andrew will be held Monday, April 12, 2010 and Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The family will be receiving guests both days from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

The Funeral Service will be held 3:00p.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2550 East 71st Street, in Tulsa. Pastor Eric Van Scharrel will be officiating. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, www.collinsvillefh.com.
