Andra Kaye Gillespie

Andra Kaye (Joiner ) Gillespie (Tulsa, OK), born November 18, 1943, passed peacefully into God’s eternal kingdom on March 1, 2025.

Born to Vernon and Betty Joiner, she spent decades as a respected Collinsville Elementary School teacher, shaping young minds and preparing them for life as adults.

Andra was a loving, caring, thoughtful and strong lady. She leaves behind her beloved son, Todd Gillespie (Talala, OK); daughter-in-law, Angie Gillespie, adored daughter, Betsy Detlefs (Boyds, MD); son-in-law Peter Detlefs; 3 beautiful granddaughters, Rachel (Sunny) Matani of Germantown, MD; Madison Detlefs (Germantown, MD) Erica Detlefs (Post Falls, ID) and blessed great-granddaughter, Arya Matani.

We trust in God that we will all be reunited in God’s love in due time.

Graveside Services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville with Rev. Hermon Wood officiating.
