Alfred Lavon Jones

Alfred Lavon Jones, 90, of Collinsville, OK passed away Friday, August 24, 2012 in Owasso, OK. He was born March 8, 1922 in Broken Arrow, OK to Ernest and Ovia (Rutherford) Jones. He served his country in the Army during WWII. He owned and operated Jones Welders Supply from 1948 to 1997. He was a Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Collinsville.

He is survived by his 2 children: Ronald Jones and his wife Roz of Bartlesville, OK and Donna Caesar of Collinsville. 3 step-children: Deborah Sever and her husband David of Edmond, OK, Randy Patterson and his wife Sue of Collinsville, and Lenore Tate and her husband Joel of Satsuma, Al. He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, 1 half sister: Juanita Vanderzanden of Redding, CA.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Ruby Jones and his second wife, Sybil Mae Jones.

Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 26, 2012 and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Collinsville with Dr. Tim Prock officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
