Paul Preston Powell, Jr., 67, of Talala, Ok passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 in Tulsa, OK. He was born July 4, 1944 in Rockport, ID to Paul P. Powell, Sr., and the former Thelma Weatherholt. He had lived in Talala since 1974. He retired from the Air National Guard in 1993 after 29 years of service.

He survived by his wife, Karen of the home, 4 Daughters: Misty Davis and her husband David of Nowata, Mary Cook of Oologah, Charlene Roney of the home and Brittany Quillman of the home. 9 Grandchildren: Elizabeth Quillman, Joy Quillman, Michael Conti, Terry Cook Jr., David Paul Underwood, Kyle Ryan Underwood, Brent Cook, Bryan Cook, and Montana Rayne Quillman. 2 Great-granddaughters, Diane Conti and Madesin Quillman. He is also survived by 2 sisters: Sharon Powell and Ellen Joyce Powell.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Oologah Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at A Healing Touch Ministries Church, east of Vera with Pastor Jerry Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Talala, OK. Services are under the direction of Oologah Dolton Funeral Home.
